While Bootstrap does solve a lot of complex layout and responsiveness issues, for most of the websites, this is just a part of the work that needs to be done. For most of the tasks, such as Data Visualization, editing, sorting, grouping and filtering one needs to use additional widgets.

The ShieldUI web development framework is one such framework. It offers over 70 widget types for pure JQuery development, or wrappers for ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC and JAVA Wicket.
The JavaScript Suite consists of a sub-selection of Data Visualization components, such as Chart, Barcodes and QR Code, as well as a large collection of other widgets, such as grid, combo-box, window and over 20 other controls.
Just like with Bootstrap, the best thing about using such components is that they save a lot of time. They are easy to configure and handle a lot of functionality out-of-the-box. For example, the jquery grid plugin handles out-of-the-box, features such as grouping, sorting, four modes of editing and many more. Such features alone save a tremendous amount of development time and dramatically increase the presentation and interaction capabilities of any site.
The jquery chart component is a charting component, which easily renders over 25 series type - from standard area and bar series, to more advanced renderings, such as range bar and polar.
